Liberal News Media, You Say?

I’ve been reading that Donald Trump doesn’t have a filled war chest for television advertising. Oddly, it seems to me as long as he keeps shooting his mouth off like the hooligan-demogogue he is, he needs not spend a dime on television.

It seems that every one of the big three channels gives him at least five minutes a day free to high-light his message. Sure, once could say they are doing it to appall voters into reconsidering. But, never doubt the power of stupid angry people in large numbers — it also sends his message to all the folks who just want to see asses kicked whether or not it improves the country or life of citizens.

1min wagesMind you, I approve of anger in voters.  But I think if it is not combined with critical thinking to analyze and find the best solution it is pointless.  Trump screams on and on about his allegedly great ideas.  But he doesn’t say HOW it works.

He has numerous bankruptcies behind him; can we survive a President who might lower the rating of the entire USA’s credit rating?

He talks like a bully and surrounds himself with people capable of violence; can America sustain itself on violence towards our own?

He changes his tune to suit his audience; could anyone really trust a President who speaks differently to every one he wants to “sell” himself to in a hard spot?

Oh, and ABC, CBS, and NBC?  Stop giving it away, you corporate sluts!

  1. E.A. Blair says:

Here’s what Harlan Ellison has to say about the difference between an opinion and an informed opinion:

“Everybody has opinions: I have them, you have them. And we are all told from the moment we open our eyes, that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Well, that’s horsepuckey, of course. We are not entitled to our opinions; we are entitled to our informed opinions. Without research, without background, without understanding, it’s nothing. It’s just bibble-babble. It’s like a fart in a wind tunnel folks.”

Considering that “trump” is British colloquial for “fart”, it’s more than appropriate to characterize Donald Drumpf and his supporters as farts in a wind tunnel.
