image copyFinally, something to make me smile.  Now if only American cities could adapt this idea!  I don’t even think gray water irrigation is legal in my (red)neck of the woods…

And then, a favorite pet peeve of mine is gratified with this story.  I eat less and less meat because I disagree with the corporate meat practices.  But I don’t consider the suffering of plants to be less, and I get pretty sick of uber-righteous vegans getting in my face over things like “the enslavement of bees” because I make mead with honey.   Face it, to live is to suffer — whether as a sheep or a lettuce bed.  We all live by the death of others, one way or another.  My ashes will restore minerals to the earth someday….we all pay.

And in Blogotopia?  I loved THIS!

Herland

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"! Yes, comments are closed. Anyone who just MUST reach me can do so at syrbal6 at gmail dot com.
