1sugar shitI’ve been watching the PBS series about the Roosevelt family.  Finally making it to the last 2 of 14 hours, imagine my non-surprise to find that during WWII, when young Roosevelts were serving under arms  — one flew THREE HUNDRED combat sorties — the GOP of the day insisted that the young fighters were “being protected from harm”.  Wow.

The more things change, the more they become the same?  Asshattery in any age….

Herland

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"!
