Keep pouringWhen Nancy Pelosi signs a bill that Ted Cruz* doesn’t that allows the military to STILL indefinitely detain even American citizens, I admit, it kind of makes me want to get viciously drunk on smoky vodka martinis before lunch.

But I must drive out to select salvaged wood with which to build new cupboard doors for my kitchen, and thus must remain sober.  In the House, 360 “Yay” votes to keep power like this, when any credible “terrorist threat” is about as likely as unicorns munching my rose hedge?  Proof we definitely need political parties OUTSIDE the Dementeds and Rethugs!

Damn it. It makes the ‘stopped clock’ argument work for THIS — except Congress itself keeps signing off on the enabling bits.

*We all know Ted would have signed if it wasn’t what the Islamo-facist-commie-Kenyan-Usurper wanted.

Herland

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"! Yes, comments are closed. Anyone who just MUST reach me can do so at syrbal6 at gmail dot com.
