Some of the Music Died

Pete Seeger has died. I read this last night on my iPhone in bed where I was not sleeping. I sang his songs in high school, and those tunes still play in my night-time dreams.

The quote I will recall: “I still believe the only chance for the human raced to survive is to give up such pleasures as war, racism and private profit.”

Amen, Pete, amen.

Herland

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"! Yes, comments are closed. Anyone who just MUST reach me can do so at syrbal6 at gmail dot com.
