photo‘Tis rapidly approaching the season of “wish lists”, right?

So, being a constant victim customer of Comcast, wherein I watch Netflix stutter into paralysis on a regular and much cursed basis, I would LOVE to see THIS become law.

I’d also like Obama’s Affordable Care act to match his mouth and stop making people buy plans that they (1) cannot afford and (2) don’t want or need. Sorry, I’m post-menopausal and my husband has a vasectomy and we thus do not need maternity care, for instance. Yes, I understand the “shared risk” bit, but do not lecture me on sharing the risks of giving birth when their is NO possibility of me doing so. It just seems that if taxation can be rated to where, for instance, older folks on limited incomes can have property tax rates frozen, it should also be wrong to demand that the infertile subsidize the fertile, especially in a nation intent on making birth control and abortion harder and harder to get.

What do you want for Christmas/Hannukah/Solstice/Soyal/Yule/Kwanza/Festimas? Aside from a collection of two front teeth from your most hated right wingtards, that is?

And hey,no dinging me for pre-Thanksgiving mention of the gifty season, either; I already told you I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving!

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"! Yes, comments are closed. Anyone who just MUST reach me can do so at syrbal6 at gmail dot com.
