I am a bit loopy with lack of sleep today. The last few days of worry (pointless, but nigh unavoidable) and tension due to the Basement Boys of the Tea Party (cheers, really?) have kept me tossing, turning, and having nightmares lately. So, it is with some welcome humor that I read that ancient Britons apparently roasted toads to eat. When I combined that thought with my recent re-reading of “The Wind in the Willows” and remembered the wealthy, criminal, and obnoxious ego maniac “Mr. Toad”….well, I won’t say I salivated, but I did suddenly think lunch was over-due.

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"! Yes, comments are closed. Anyone who just MUST reach me can do so at syrbal6 at gmail dot com.
