photo Happy Day! A fat envelope of wee alcohol bottles was at the post office yesterday afternoon! Thanks to Heather, the bottle count now stands at twenty-eight. Unfortunately, I am not under any delusions that I will get eight thousand, one hundred and ninety or so more by November of this year.

But I urge everyone, please keep putting the word out….I will try for the display of over 8,200 “dead soldiers” for the dead soldiers of the war, not on the 10th anniversary of the building of the Walk of the Fallen Memorial Labyrinth, but NEXT year, when I hope the wars have both been wound down.

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"! Yes, comments are closed. Anyone who just MUST reach me can do so at syrbal6 at gmail dot com.
