Fickle, Fickle

1why is everyone so fucking stupidMy what a difference a day or two makes! First everyone was congratulating the DC police on stopping the lady trying to drive her car though barriers. And now? Now the cries of “Oh, she was unarmed and suffering post-partum depression.”

Well, pardon me for asking, but was that tattoo’d on her forehead? Was it a flashing neon sign in the rear window of her Lexus? Because if I was a Washington D.C. cop in a city that just scheduled a dozen funerals because some other nutcase DID murder with guns, I’d be a bit leery of someone ARMED with a ton and a half of CAR.

And please to remember, before this oh-so-innocent (and obviously not too smart) woman was shot, the cops had already tried numerous times to stop her with their bodies all around her car. She had hit a Secret Service man with her car AND a cop. And how were the obviously UN-prescient cops to know her CAR was not armed….as in loaded with explosives?

Monday morning fucking armchair quarterbacks. They should all go try to stop a car with nothing but a body and a persuasive smile!

Yeah, the first thing I thought when the tweets started hitting about someone attempting to crash through the barricades was “OMG what if there’s a bomb in that car?” And it wasn’t just the one cop that she smashed into. She also smashed into a cop car so hard that she turned it into crumpled sheet metal, it’s a wonder that the cop inside it didn’t get killed. So to recap, as far as the cops knew a suicidal person was trying to get into position to blow something up, and their job was to stop it from happening. And they did their job. Case closed. Now we know she had no explosives. But that’s 20-20 hindsight.

    • Yes, just watching video of how fast she drove made me twitch with”OMG, bomb!” I was surprised they didn’t light that car up a lot sooner.
