I remember reading sci-fi novels about people pulling all the wires out of their homes to escape constant governmental over-look. That likely wouldn’t quite be enough these days.

I don’t use Google, I don’t Facebook. I don’t go to malls…well, ok, VERY rarely. But I’m sure my tiny online presence and hermit habits don’t render me invisible at all.

  1. Pretty sure a good deal of this was already beginning in the 20th century….all one can hope for now is that it is so ubiquitous that we all become relatively anonymous ANYway.

  2. Reblogged this on Dead Wild Roses and commented:

Herland

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"! Yes, comments are closed. Anyone who just MUST reach me can do so at syrbal6 at gmail dot com.
