The Skies Would Cry…

….if they could. Nineteen brave men dead in a state that denies climate change, while it burns faster every year. Here in Washington State? Even here we see drastic changes compared to the Washington of my childhood, there have been a lot of changes in our weather just since we moved back here in 1987.

But we are all to nod our heads and move on as men die because the Red States cannot admit that the weather shifts are endangering all they allegedly hold holy: life, liberty and pursuit of not being burnt up in a wildfire brought on by climate change happiness.

If anyone wants to look at objective data, just look at the growing zones over the last few decades. Zones are moving northward, and plants that didn’t have a chance 30 years ago in one zone are now able to thrive there now. Folks these days suspect Science, Data, and Facts; and would rather trust their guts…so when their guts are grumbling ’cause the crops don’t grow, they may begin to suspect the Science had something to do with it.

Some of those folks have lousy “guts” in every sense of the word: my gut tells me that the temperatures, they are a-changing! My gut tends to agree with science!

It’s a lot like the gun control debates, nothing gets done while the body count keeps mounting.

Herland

The name of this blog, and my Dreamwidth blog, Herlander Refugee, is taken from a 1915 feminist novel "Herland". It makes my heart sing that modern women are experimenting with creation of a new "Herland"! Yes, comments are closed. Anyone who just MUST reach me can do so at syrbal6 at gmail dot com.
